The Julian Alps in Slovenia are at the extreme eastern end of the Alps.
The mountains contain many magnificent peaks including the mighty Triglav, the three headed mountain at 2864m, which rules
over the diversified range below including Razor (2601m), Mangart (2679m), Spik (2472m) and Jalovec (2645m).
The main town is Kranjska Gora and is the centre of the region which is getting acclaim as a major tourist and sports region,
famed primarily for its World Cup competitions in alpine skiing and ski flights on the giant ski-jump in Planica.
