Engelberg - welcome to heaven! Welcome to the ‘Mountain of Angels’!

Engelberg is one of Switzerland's best kept secrets. At the end of an open sunny valley and dominated by the impressive 3,200m Mount Titlis, it is a large and friendly traditional village.

Getting there
Engelberg is bang in the centre of Switzerland, with excellent road and rail connections. It’s just 20 kilometres from the nearest motorway by car, or an easy journey by train from Lucerne. The closest major international airport is Zurich, 1.5 hours by road or around 2 hours by rail from resort.

Berne airport is 100km / 60 miles

There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from – from Pizzas and Fondue to gourmet cuisine!
Hotel Banklialp and Alpenclub offers folklore evenings and Swiss specialities.
Hotel Treff is the place for excellent coffee and cakes.

Apres Ski
There are some excellent bars and pubs, some with live music; the infamous Yucatan Music Bar, the Eden Bar, the Spindle and Terrasse - and you can gamble the night away at the casino.
