"The whole trip took us through scenery the like of which I have never seen before; nor have I ever been so remote; nor felt
so gloriously, and wonderfully isolated.
"The fellowship between us, was so strong that I did not feel threatened by the enormity of the place, nor menaced by its
hostility: This was fun; this was happiness; for seventeen days, we threw off convention. We walked and talked and struggled. We
reverted to the basics. We were outdoors the whole time in the most pristine of places amongst potentially some of the most
challenging environments known to man. We stank and we didn't care.
"It is truly an experience I shall never ever forget."
