News Gallery Powder (Slovenia Ski Tour, March 2006) Testimonials
Excellent trip. The combination of a mountain guide and ski instructor worked really well. Really challenging off piste runs - well judged as to what we could do (just), even if it involved a rope to get us over the edge!! Thank you to Julie for getting this trip sorted for me (even if there were a couple of changes to the itinerary!) - I felt informed and supported so believed that I would be skiing somewhere!!

About Us

Mountain Tracks are a team of mountain professionals specializing in small group guided mountain adventure.

The vision for Mountain Tracks is to offer our clients two very different but complimentary experiences that can be simply combined as Exhilarating Challenge.

Exhilarating - For the remoteness and the beauty of the surroundings; the thrill of creating your own tracks through the snow or your own path across a virgin expanse of mountainside.

Challenge - Pushing yourself beyond your known capabilities with an element of uncertainty in how precisely the outcome will be achieved.

"Hi. I'm an IFMGA guide living full time in the Chamonix valley for the last 4 years. Although my background is as a Scottish winter scratcher, big wall dude and expedition mountaineer, I now spend more time wearing ski boots than rock boots! I get a massive kick out of sharing the mountains with everyone I climb and ski with."

Chris joined Mountain Tracks in 2003 as Director along with his brother, Nick. Unlike his brother, his favourite sport is Golf! In fact, Chris is such a rare species in the mountain that if you do spot him - please take a photo - and we will offer you a free holiday as a reward!

Chris is based in New York and so his emails are often sent at a time when most of us are sleeping, although this is mainly due to the time difference, Chris does work round-the-clock. When he's not at his desk or on the golf course, he's most likely to be spotted jogging round Central Park.
